Step Kids Awareness (STEKA) has opened up its Vocational Training School Centre at Lirangwe in Blantyre
The vocational training school will help students to learn hands-on experience that will help them to create basis of becoming economically independent as they will use the skills to employ themselves.
STEKA vocation training Centre have started training students in Tailoring and Electronics and that all students are also being trained in entrepreneurship skills.
During the opening ceremony at the Centre Director for STEKA Godknows Maseko, said that they are teaching all students entrepreneurship, so that they will have skills in entrepreneurship, that will assist them to start their own businesses after completion of trainings.
Maseko said this will assist them as they will have knowledge on how they can make use of the skills that they are acquiring.
“We will provide an employment platform for the first students that have been enrolled, so that they shall be employed at STEKA vocation school after finishing their period, Maseko said
After completion of the course students will be awarded certificates of completion.
