Overview: The Climate Just Communities (CJC) Malawi project is a flagship programme under the Scottish Government’s Climate Justice Fund. It employs a climate justice approach to support locally led community projects in Malawi, Rwanda, and Zambia. The programme focuses on building community resilience to the impacts of climate change through participatory and inclusive interventions.

- Empowerment: Enable communities to identify their own priorities and build resilience to local climate impacts.
- Inclusion: Empower the most marginalized individuals to take action.
- Advocacy: Support communities in advocating for climate justice and local equity.
- Sustainability: Create long-term, sustainable change aligned with the three pillars of climate justice.
