The Malawi Scotland Partnership (MaSP) and 2050 Climate Group in Scotland are implementing a project on youth engagement in climate action called Malawi’s Youth Leaders Climate Change Project. The main aim of the project is to engage with young people and provide them with the skills to raise awareness on the impacts of climate change among young people, and their communities. This will ignite individual and group action against climate change.
The project will recruit 15 young people to be engaged as Climate Change Youth Leaders. The Youth Leaders will undergo training and be challenged to propel a movement on climate change issues within their communities and beyond. They will also be linked to the National Youth Network on Climate Change and will be co-supervised by MaSP and the National Youth Council of Malawi.
