WaterAid Malawi has intensified its relief interventions in Machinga and Mangochi districts, where various WASH items have been distributed. These include: packs of diapers meant for children, bottles of chlorine each, tissue paper rolls, plastic cups, plastic plates, powdered detergent soap kits of menstrual hygiene management meant for women and adolescent girls, tapped water buckets and untapped water buckets each having a 20-litre capacity 15 cartons of washing soap tablets

The menstrual hygiene management kits contain two sanitary packs, a Chitenje wrapper, underwear, 4tablets of bathing and washing soap, and Vaseline body oil.

Women with children who were given diapers meant for their children were given an orientation on how to properly dispose of the used diapers as a way of adhering to good sanitation practices.

These interventions are aimed at ensuring that people staying in camps have decent sanitation and good hygiene.

WaterAid Malawi is grateful to its donors and partners for their continued support.
