We were pleased to welcome over 250 participants both in person and virtually at our Symposium held at Crossroads Great Sapitwa Hall on 25th March 2021. The colourful ceremony was held under the theme “Social Enterprises for Economic Growth, Creation and Increasing Income Levels”.


The event aimed to shine a light on our members running Social enterprises and the impact that they are having in their communities. The symposium also served as a platform for the display of 24 member pavilions and the launch of Challenges Malawi new project.


In her Speech the Guest of Honour Deputy Minister of Agriculture Hon. Madalitso Kambauwa -Wirima commended the Scottish Government for the role it is playing in the development of the social enterprise sector in Malawi. She further emphasized that Malawi realizes the critical role that social enterprises play in this nation in contributing to economic growth and inclusion.


Minister for Culture, Europe and International Development Hon. Minister Neil Gray renewed Scotland’s commitment to the bilateral relationship it has with Malawi and commended MaSP for the great work it is doing in the coordination of the Malawi-Scotland Links.


In her closing remarks MaSP CEO Stella Masangano commended the work being done by the Scottish Grant holders in uplifting vulnerable communities through Social enterprises and pledged MaSP’s support in amplifying the commendable effort they are putting in.
